Automotive air conditioning repairs and servicing (mobile)
The workshop comes to your vehicle — diagnosis, repair and servicing on site, anywhere across Christchurch and Akaroa.
The service
Air conditioning, fixed where you park it
When the air conditioning blows warm, wheezes, or quits entirely, the vehicle usually still has to work — getting kids to school, stock fed, or a digger through its shift. Alpine Air NZ exists for exactly that situation: a mobile automotive air conditioning service that travels to the vehicle instead of asking the vehicle to come to a workshop.
From the Christchurch branch in Redwood, Steve Swan covers Christchurch and Akaroa, servicing and repairing air conditioning systems on passenger cars, utes and trucks as well as the machines that never see a sealed road: tractors and agricultural equipment, earthmoving machinery, and forestry vehicles working in the bush.
Every visit starts with diagnosis — finding what is actually wrong before anything is repaired — followed by the repair or service itself, and finishes with a cold-air check at the vents so you can feel the result before we leave.

What the mobile service handles
One service visit can cover diagnosis, repair and routine servicing across the vehicle types below.
On-road vehicles
Cars, utes, SUVs and trucks serviced at your home or workplace — no day lost to the workshop.
Farm & agricultural
Tractors and farm machinery serviced in the paddock or yard, where the work is.
Earthmoving & forestry
Diggers, loaders and forestry machines serviced on site — even deep in the block.
How a visit runs
Diagnose, repair, verify
You call 027 886 6448 with your vehicle and its symptoms. We agree a time — Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, or by appointment on weekends — and travel to wherever the vehicle is across Christchurch and Akaroa.
On site, the system is tested and the fault is traced before any repair begins. The repair or service is then carried out from the mobile setup, and the job closes with a vent-temperature check so cold airflow is confirmed, not assumed.
Because Alpine Air NZ is a New Zealand-wide network of regional operators, the Christchurch branch focuses entirely on its patch — local roads, local farms, local work sites — with the backing of operators doing the same job across the country.
